Aftermarket hanguards & Scope height.
« on: December 13, 2013, 01:52:56 PM »
Hello Rap4 community.
I am getting into the world of magazine fed and I would like some help.
In a couple of days I will be purchasing my first t68 -Applause-
I am interested in putting a hanguard on my t68 that will give me a rail that extends accross the entire top (Yes, SPR MK.0 incoming) and give me enough of a rise to mount my scope without a riser. Freefloat also. So the product's i'm looking at are.

http://www.evike.com/products/28682 <-- SPR Handguard
http://www.evike.com/products/37236 <-- Elcan Spectredr clone

My first question is what materials do I need to mount this handguard to the t68 if any at all. Will i be fine using the materials on the standard handguard? or do i have to purchase something from here.

Second question has to do with height. I have a rap4 hawkeye goggle system. At what height will I need to place my scope to have the ability to use this $140 piece of sexyness.

And third question is: do you believe that the handguard alone with the top rail will raise the scope up enough for me? or should I just ditch the handguard and get a riser. In terms of cost, it is looking like I should get the riser, considering I can add more to my kit with the extra money.

Any help would be appreciated.
