« on: July 22, 2009, 08:26:08 PM »
Well now that i have got my Video editing software up and running, I plan on shooting alot more video with Delta Squad in the future. And Pretty soon by next year I hope to have a new shiny HD Camera to use. but for now SD will have to do.

Anyways This is the first new one of many videos to come for Delta Squad. Enjoy.

As i have said time and time again. If your going to do Milsim style of playing do it. If you want to play cspeedball do that. Don't mix the two it just looks $@). Having guys in Camo running around with speedball guns just kills the look.

Our games we attend are not really milisim, they are more Scenario type games. It's how the game is played out. Some games we play are WWII, some Starwars, Judge Dredd, gangster scenarios. We really can't change our markers every game to adjust to the scenario of course. So does it really matter if we have a spacegun or a realistic looking A-5? Not really....

Seriously, Paintball is paintball. We Play to have fun, Paintball is fun. It doesn't matter how you play as long as your following the rules and having fun.

Yes a lot of that is true. We all play to have fun and play fair. No you do don't need to change your makers for every new game. You would have to have as much money as Bill Gates to afford all the mods to be able to do that. It's like the on going debate over Chevy Vs Ford or LeatherMan Vs Swiss or AR-15 Vs AK-47 and so on. People have what they like and will use/own what makes them happy.  My above comment was more so aimed at the twelve to nine year old's who run around on a field thinking that just because they have a military style name that makes them cool. You all know what i mean I'm sure we have all seen some on the field or on youtube. I my self think that half the fun of playing the game is modding out your maker be it making your A-5/X-7 look more milsim or modding out your speedball gun with a new drop forward or a new double trigger or some other new piece of gear. So don't take it the wrong way and think i was knocking your team.

I agree somewhat modding / adding our own upgrades are one of the fun parts in paintball. It's like christmas every time haha.

A lot of teams that I have seen play both speedball, woodsball/milsim/scenario ball.  Whatever you want to call it, its still paintball.  The gun you use, and what you wear, should not matter.  I have seen great scenario teams wearing speedball jerseys, and vice versa.  The game, much like anything else in the world, is preference, especially markers.  I have owned and played with a 98 custom, A5, X7, and an MR2, along multiple others and a "space gun".  My "space gun" out performs any of my other guns in many things like accuracy, air efficiency, and weight.  I would rather look bad for having a space gun, spending a lot less money on it, and be a lot more efficient at the game then trying to match the scene of it all to get approval from someone I don't know.  The "look" of something, is what you make it.

From the quick research I have done on the Delta Squad forums, nobody under the age of 18 is allowed on their team.  Nobody is allowed on my team unless they are over 21.  Regardless, even if a twelve or nine year old was playing on a team, I have seen some youngins make better decisions and play better than most older people I see around my age.  Maturity is a big issue with paintball, and I hate to say it, but you will see a huge personality gap between speedballers and any other group.  To defend those twelve to nine year olds, they are just that, twelve to nine year olds.  When I was nine, I was running around with a bright red Spyder that cost me $30, trying to play woodsball.  Let idiots be idiots until they cause harm to someone other than themselves.
